Outside of school, I love to read (especially mysteries!), and I work at the Sunset Valley Barnes and Noble a few hours each week. Around the house, we are trying to grow a garden, but the Texas dry weather and heat makes this harder than in New Jersey.  I enjoy watching "The Food Network" on television, but I watch more than I cook.  I also like college sports; through family and children of friends, I have connections to cheer for many teams. My favorites are UT, PENN, and NAVY.

 

I enjoy computer games and sitting on my back deck reading and watching the birds. My two cats are getting older, so they are happy to just sit and watch the birds, too.  My favorite activity is spending time with my family, especially babysitting my granddaughter.

 

My husband, Dale, and I have been married for 38 years and have 4 grown sons and two cats. Dale is a retired inventory analyst. Our oldest son, Eric, attended the University of Pennsylvania and is a Computer Network Engineer here in Austin. He and his wife, Beth, reside in the Eanes ISD.  Their daughter, Madison, was born in December, 2008 and is our first grandchild. Madison became a "big sister" in September with the birth of her sister, Alexandra! My second son, Adam, attended UT Austin where he got a BS in Geo-systems Engineering and a Masters in Petroleum Engineering. He was working as a researcher for Chevron in Houston, but has recently been transferred to California. Adam was married in July, 2010 to Chris, who is a high school history teacher. My third son, Evan, graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from UT Austin. Evan has worked on oil wells in Australia, and he is currently working in Houston on international deep sea engineering projects.   Recently Evan has been to Norway and Sweden, and he is currently working every other month in Ghana, Africa. My youngest son, Ryan, graduated from the United States Naval Academy as a Mechanical Engineer. Ryan is now a Lieutenant JG and a Navy helicopter pilot stationed in Norfolk, Virginia on the aircraft carrier the George H.W. Bush.
